when i was telling someone about the rubbing problems i have been having with my car, he suggested getting the camber checked and putting spacers on the front.
would this work, i also got told that this would help bcos its pretty low, but im not aware of fitting spacers to very low cars, anyone care to shine some light, cheers

thats what ive never been able to find out, its on fk coilovers, quite low down but its not hitting any arches. it rumbles on left turn but no other time.

If it's not hitting the outside arch then a spacer could be used, but really you should be trying to find out where it rubs...

Are you sure that you haven't got the same problem as Jenk, where in fact it was the driveshaft balancing weight that was rubbing? If thats the case than just chop it off and jobs a goodun

what does the balancing weight look like exactly?

Take a wheel off and you should see some marks if its rubbing on the inside, on the arch liner perhaps?

If thats the case then maybe 5-10mm spacers each side would solve the problem, we supply the FK Spacers, give me a shout if you need some

Its that weight mate, spacers will do sweet FA. Mines now been cut off and lowered more. Everything is sweet...... apart from my new knocking sound when turning the wheel

il probs just keep the car at -75mm thanks.

You'll know when you see it. Its on the left driveshaft and about 20mm wide 2.5" around But I think its actually made out of rubber. I would think you can get it off with a hacksaw, but Jenk opted for the angle grinder as its quicker.

went out today to hack it away, but reading there you def do need an angle grinder, it looks like rubber, but it has metal plates through it.

my dad will shite himself wen he sees me out under the car with an angle grinder

Well i was concerned cutting it off would cause problems but its all good. No vibrations etc.

Yep its made of metal, if it was rubber i would have still used the grinder
Oh yeah, you will need a nice sharp blade to cut away the rubber that attatches it to the shaft.
