How do I remove the Ariel

Just bought a replacement Ariel for my FR, the only thing is I can't get the Orignal Ariel off it just keeps turning, looks like some anti theft device......Any one got a idea how they come off??????????????

I have a simlar problem, and NO special ref. is made in the ELSAWIN workshop manaul either apart from the different connections if you have GPRS etc. and thats to do with the headlining - will keep on looking tho. ...............

Simply take it back to your SEAT dealer, we have a special tool to remove the arial. They shouldnt charge you, it takes seconds, we do this quite often when upgrading headunits to DAB etc...

shark fin replacement ?? or is it dab.

covered in ibiza section but just pull it hard after you have unscrewed it
it has a mushroom like end on it that locks in

Fitted a nice stubby ally one looks ok but need to see it in the daylight.

Will try and post a pic this week but i am working away all week....If i don't like it I am going to get a Amplifed Shark Fin fitted by my local car radio shop K&M Acoustics .

Yes very risque! didn't notice that till this a.m



How much are these shark fin amplified aerials, like them on the beemers, but VAG cars have always had a problem with aerials and have had to resort back to the longer bee sting one.With the amplified one it should get rid of gremlins like poor transmission etc..I think.
