Got the ipod connection fitted under the front driver's seat.
Didn't realise you lose the aux in & 12V socket when the ipod jack is fitted:cry:
Wondered if there was a way to connect my mp3 player as I don't have an ipod to this dock via an adaptor so that I can use this connection.
If so I could run a lead under the seat up to the centre console & connect me mp3 player there.
Anyone know if there's some form of adaptor available on the market? :help:

That sounds strange to lose the 12V. I need that for my sat nav! Can you take out the ipod jack when not using the ipod to plug something else in?

My understanding from what I have been told is that you would not lose the 12V socket, only the Aux in

That's what the lease company were told by Seat customer services:shrug:
Not too bothered about losing the 12v socket as it was in the back but very disapointed to not have the aux in

Sorry I meant you lose the rear 12v socket not the front, also a cigarette lighter is fitted in the slot:confused: strange that there is no mention of this on the brochures/website
Not sure if you can take out the jack tbh, presumable as it's factory fit I guess it's a permanent connection. Would be easier if I could use an adaptor

I have put a 4 gang aux 12v outlet on the l/h side of the driver seat and connected the fly lead to the back of the OE 12v aux socket/lighter cos when you fit a aux 12v in the OE socket/lighter it stick too far up which pi@@ed me off!

you can get ipods cheap on ebay now days, even the cheaper clones fit.

My 4 gig ipod gets updated every week with new podcasts to listen to on long journeys.
