maybe, but in the past iv said the same thing when people have said 'do i need an fmic with my k03s?' or 'my car feels **** hot in the winter but in the summer its just ****' and they refuse to accept it

but if most people fit the k03s to get more power out of the car...then shouldn't you be willing to do everything? the bigger exhaust de restricts the flow from the turbo/manifold/head, if you just have a cat back then the original downpipe is flowing at the same rate so you haven't really done anything. everyone knows what an intercooler does....cold air equals more power, both not 100% essential but worth doing if your hunting for power

when turboboy mentioned his findings and i said pub figures i referred to the bhp claims and the speed claims because things like that vary between application as we all know. using 1/4mile as an example for top speed majority of k03s owners have barely broken 100mph in early 14s when yet iv hit 93mph in 15.1s
pub figures though imo

The big difference is that the ko3s will hold power a bit longer. Peak power on my k03s set up is at 5985rmp according to my last RR.

k03 claims of over 220bhp seem to be a huge spike which only holds for around 1000rpm followed by quick tail off in power.

On the road the difference can be felt quite considerably IMO

IMO, if your gonna do it, do it properly. DP and FMIC are a must to get the best out of a k03 or k03s car, otherwise the stupid tiny fmic and restrictive dp/cat just hold the potential back.

And i've pulled 226 on a k03....

ah the bridge test, the only way to prove your car.

1 second down pod is a life time if your taking it seriously, in my old car 1 second was 500 quids worth of mods.

1 second lead on the drag strip at 100 mph works out at a 44 meter lead

which is a hell of a win

5985rpm!! my K03s is making peak power at 4800ropm. that's quite a difference!!

as you say aswell, the difference on the road is huge. 2 of my mates raced the other day, one K03 spec with exhaust, filter, re-map etc and the other with K03s, FMIC, exhaust, filter and map and the K03s car absolutely demolished the 200bhp ish K03 even though the K03s car was RR'd at 236bhp. so only a 36bhp difference, but it was huge on the road.

ohyeah i never said 1 second isnt a great deal, its purpose was for top speed..a difference of 7mph over 0.5-1 second. and to be fair to me 15.1 on the strip with my spec is bollocks. i had a misfire under load.

however i 'believe' my car is just as capable of producing the mid 14s runs that most of the k03s crew have achieved

me and daz will find out the difference a k03s makes soon...i reckon it wont be much ;) RR test and 1/4 mile test
