Im starting to gather some parts for my swap to convert my 2004 leon cupra AUQ from a k03s to a k04.

The engine has had all preventative and age related maintenance done, and is pretty much a virgin engine except for a n249 delete.

Ive currently managed to aquire two healthy k04 turbos and a 80mm K and N cone filter for £25 (practically daylight robbery)

I believe I need the following:

Turbo inlet pipe
Front mounted intercooler and pipes
BAM injectors
Downpipe compatible with K04 ( i need advice on this, ive already got an aftermarket downpipe, do i get a new one or fabricate my existing one?)

If anyone can recommend what to look out for, or what parts to buy (new or used) that would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi,

I did this on my previous KO3.

K04 downpipes are completely different. If you get an eBay special, make sure its for a Leon as the TT has a slightly different angle to avoid the 4wd system.

As for the front mount, we at The VAG Yard supply a FMIC kit that has the cooler and 4ply silicone hoses. We also have all the bits you're going to need for the conversion.

Also keep your Intake temp sensor from the AUQ manifold as the BAM manifolds can have a different plug. You'll also need to unwrap the front of your loom to take the throttle body and intake temp sensor from one side of the car (AUQ) to the other side (BAM)
