Now dont pelt me with stones guys as i am just wondering as im board at work... but what would hapen if the vac hose was removed from the top of the dv as mine fell off and not sure how long for...i know its not long (less than a day or two) just wondered what efects it could have on things?

i would hazard a guess that the engine would be sluggish.........i know its a bit of an extreme variant on the same theme but one of my main hoses blew off the side of my dump valve yesterday because the clip wasnt tight enough and it was a nightmare to try and keep the engine running.

Happened to me before. Car would run but with no boost atall 0Psi.
On another note, Gav my intercooler hose was :censored: and the car was popping and banging like a goodun. Could not keep it running as you mentioned.

yeah the engine doesnt like it at all, i broke down about a mile up the road from Forge in the middle of the biggest single file roadworks/traffic jam.......popped the bonnet and id lost the hose clip, i can see the funny side of it but i dont think everyone else felt that way at the time.lol

its happened to me as well, basically the DV would open early since theres no vacuum and recirc most of the charge from the turbo and it would feel ****
