just to let you no guys n girls just got my remap done at jabba sport and what can i say im well happy, it now running 276bhp an 288ft of torque!!! it was 234bhp standard which i was a bit suprised as all it had was a replacement panel filter!! if anyone is thing do i, dont i, i strongly advise you to do it!!!! ive got a constant smile!!!!:D

i got it in a group buy thanks to a mate on the golf mk4 forum, but its £475 worth every penny mate

274bhp is a pipe dream mate, sorry :)

But if you're happy with the way it drives, then nothing else matter :)

why is 274bhp a pipe dream then, cos i've just been looking on jabba's web page and they quote between 265 and 275 bhp, and i dont think i've heard anyone saying their rolling roads rubbish. false advertising then ?

disagree rob... which is rare with you;)

475 quid is a custom map.. not the cheaper generic 350 quid one iirc. so if its a good well breathing engine then theyve tweaked it well. nothing else sinister going on.

loads doubted my 240 with sports cat on a k03s.

however as you say its about being happy with the delivery ect. as long as your having fun...

I was waiting for someone to mention the "power figure" thing. I take it thats the flywheel figure then, or is it wheelpower:p

I think the fact a standard car was pulling 11bhp more than standard says a lot about the accuracy of those runs. The 225 LCR is 222bhp.

Without changing the very restrictive standard DP and cats, that figure is too high. Pat - your 240 is the absolute upper limit of your (old) turbo, but with the restrictions in the exhaust removed it's not impossible, so I'd be more faith into that than the 274 from a remap.

my car is meant to be 210, but on stars rolling road it was 225bhp which jim assured me was about right as he reckons the 210 engine usually puts out more than the stated figures anyway, and i can't go with the usual theory of the dyno being over optimistic as the next lcr on the rollers only achieved 250 bhp and that was with a remap. lots of engines vary by quite a bit power wise.

So when Seat released the 225 it was all a big cover up, because really they already had one, but decided to call it a 210 ???
Or is the 225 really 240 ?

ahh yes, here we go the normal rolling road brigade of "Your car is mapped but its not really putting that figure out or NEVER will":blink::ban:

What you mean by that mate ?

as in, as soon as someone posts up with their RR results...and IMO reasonably realistic ones, straight away someone ALWAYS jumps in and completely rubbishes the result that person has got

seen it so many times across the Leon and the Ibiza sections, and its a culture or attitude which is just getting rediculous on these forums

fair enough, if the guy had said he got 300bhp+ then I could understand, but 276bhp is more than reasonable

What I dont understand is, is when someone posts their results up, there are "certain" people on here to choose not to believe the BHP claims and write them off everytime with "well its a dyno lottery mate"....well if thats the case, then what is the sodding point of having RR's if people choose to disbelieve perfectly reasonable results?!!!![:@]

rant over!
