Lucky you, I got a 20 min test-drive.

You will love it, I am so ecstatic with my FR. I didnt think anything would compare to my old Cupra R 225 but I am so happy, money well spent.

Enjoy

Once that is over it will be a long hard wait until november when it arrives for real. I am glad you have said that it compares to your LCR I am a little worried about going from petrol to a derv but have read very good things on here.

I just can't wait!

Thanks
Si

4th Nov!!! blimey!
i was in a seat dealer over the weekend and someone told me that the wait for an FR would be about 2 weeks (depending on how standard the spec was of course). i was a bit dubious of his comment at the time.. ;)

Thanks JonoUk for the word of advice, I have read on here its pretty useless!

Cheers

Oh it has its uses, they're just not what you'd expect. I don't know what speed you're doing when it hits 4500rpm but I'd guess it's not very fast. It just seems to be to get you rolling, not doing any fast starts. Besides, 2nd's much more fun, I just find you have to get into it a lot sooner than any other cars I've driven - and it almost caught me out a few times when I first got the car.

I know its a long time but it is a factory order with some of my options.

I have a data of 4th nov but it has changed 3 times, saying this I waited 6 months for my current cupra 4 yrs ago!

It better be worth the wait!

Thanks for the warning!

I have heard third is a good power gear?

Spend a bit time getting used to the gearing. Once you have it in ya mind, the FR TDI is a screamer. You will get to the stage most FR drivers are at ....

... "You can have my car when you prise the keys out of my cold, dead fingers" :D

It's just arrvied!!! Its in a dark grey color with the 17in wheels and bluetooth

I haven't driven it as yet. Can't wait to finish work so I can take it home.

I must say in the flesh the car looks stunning! I will post up my first impressions when I get home tonight.
