hi there;
there are many posts on lowering the car but i need a compariosn between eibach prokit (-35mm) and h&r (-30/40mm) and koni springs

i know that eibach doesnt lowers the back of the car...but i drove a leon with eibach springs with 18" alloys and standart susp. , it was more comfertable than my car (17" alloys ,sport suspension) ...there was no bumping in the car ...

i want to know which spring would be the best lowering / comfort for leon 1.6 with sport up pack (sport suspension and 17" alloys)

h&r -4 cm... i have both, eibach and h&r, and h&r is for sure more comfortable+lower back of the car!

usually tuner shops and also the dealers doesnt advice dropping more than -30mm with standart suspension... well i dont think -30 -35 -40 matters to much but if it doesnt matter why eibach produces prokit (-35) and sportline (-50) ...- 40 is really between them =)..

also i'm planning to a 700km trip with my family...will it be possible to sit 4 people and 4people's belongings in the trunk??? i dont think it could be possible with -30 , and with -40 it would be the worst trip ever i think....

the real question is ; i'm searching for a spring that drops my car enough , gives me comfort , no more problems... maybe yes the answer is standart springs:p

I have coilovers on my Sport (FR).

Obviously a big investment to start with (£700ish plus fitting) but means your can select the exact ride you want. Ive found it trial and error, as too low and you start scraping bumps etc. As far I know, i dont think you can put it much lower than what the H&R's give otherwise you start scraping and rubbing. Depends how many speed bumps you have in yuor area, and how fast you take the corners ;)

ok , eibach seems more effective for me , i dont take the corners speedy , but we have a lot of speed bumps and holes in our roads , h&r will drop more than eibach i think and i'll start rubbing...

I'm about to buy some eibach 30mm springs but slightly confused as the 1st post says eibach springs don't lower the rear end?????

I'm after a 30mm drop all round, whats my best option??
Don't want to go any lower then that due the amount of speed bumps in the area....

just been on the phone to Awesome gti and they advised for a 30mm KW springs would be the best option...?...anyone had these???

The Eibach pro kit 30mm only lowers the rear end 15-20mm....
