Hi all

Will there be any interest in a carbon splitter for the Cupra R?
Will probably get one made for my own car, but thought some of you guys may'be wanted one?

Down know the price yet, but he will get back to me )

When I first got my LCR I really wanted a carbon splitter, like the Focus RS boys fit, as I thought it would look stunning. But after living with it and seeing the amount of abuse it gets, I'm not so sure any more.

I'd still love one, but only if it's cheap enough to take away the worry of scraping it all the time.

Try less than £50 since this is going to be a consumable item. An average LCR driver will change the splitter at least once a year.

When you concidure you can get a standard one for £20 ish
I dont want to spend anymore the £35 £40 tops.
Unless it looked absolutely spectaculor

a CF splitter is going to cost £150+ probably. And every time you go into that multistory or park towards a curb you can be satisfied you've just wasted another 50p worth of carbon

I have to say it'd look nice, but not really practical considering how much those things catch on stuff.

RobDon had one.

It cost £150, looked really good but it snapped in half on a speed bump.

I think he decided not to bother getting another one done due to the cost.

Correct - had it made by 'All Smiles', looked awesome but was smashed within one month, better off sticking to a £20 plastic one and spraying it with clearcoat or gloss black to make it shiny, if that's what you want.

I'd be up for someone doing a batch of standard splitters done in gloss black and being sold for £30-40.

Yeah, found one here:

At Kames05:

It will cost around £150 to have CF ones made - far better, cheaper and more sensible to have some sprayed gloss black, similar effect for 1/4 of the price, plus the painter can add plenty of flex agent into the paint.

I'm having some bodywork done this winter (bump strips removed etc.) and I'm having the splitter done in gloss black.

But it did look the nuts though rob.

but very inpractical
but maybe something that could always good to just have as a second option if you like to put your car on the stands but not for everyday use
