I dont get this, i thought you said yours was an ATP one hooch which JBS had ground off the ATP casting. So home come it fits then and matts didnt?
 
that was before matt got his...then he realized it was different to mine. thats when i realized that mine was just a jbs's own make one rather than one they had just claimed to be theirs
 
Yeah Hooch's is a proper RHD mani, whereas the ATP one i got was LHD and was a million miles from fitting.

JBS dont / wont sell the cast one anymore as i tried to get one.

Only option really is equal length, unless going IHI which dont forget is a good setup.
 
what was the problem with the LHD ATP?

length of mani and turbo from head flange face to back of turbo to big/long?
 
Problem is it mounts turbo to far away from head so bulkhead is then in the way, and too far to drivers side so there is no room at all for DP.

To be honest i never even consider external gate, Iam very limited for room round the back of the engine, not much room for external gate.
 
Ah right, so whatever manifold JBS sold they dont do any longer. For some reason i have a feeling they sourced this manifold from somewhere.


I think i'll be going for Snake manifold from Boost Factory now to mount it up top along with possibly external wastegate and GT2871R.
 
Looks like i can use an internal wastegate now bill with that manifold. So you still think downpipe is gonna be an issue? Should be pretty similar to matts really or was you on about the external wastegate fitment?

look again fella... it aint

central mounting one between cyl #2,#3 on BF, Full-Race, 034 etc
JBS, mine mounting between cyl #3,#4 and runner from #1 flat to block for a reason.

trust me... I'm looking again at my winter project on my new turbo setup and these very appealing (on price $) units will also cause some real headaches on DP runner and rear engine mount, as well as runners out of the cyl head.
My new tubby is V-band connected as is the external w/g, but finding routing for all of this is not simple. bespoke.

noting the v-band adaptors push the DP further away t'wards the brake servo and rea engine mount, which makes fitment even tighter..
