Hi all,

I have recently installed my ICE into my new car and at the moment I have my 6x9s and Sub running off one set of RCAs with a Y splitter. When I fade the stereo front and back and left and right it doesn't work properly. I have a seperate sub out put on my stereo and in fact I have 3 RCA outputs in total 2 normal ones and the sub one being some wires coming out of the stereo. Would I get more control if I connected another set of RCA from my stereo to my sub and got rid of the Y splitter?

How this makes sense

Thanks in advance

In short, YES!

Chances are that each of the pre-outs can be controlled from the HU (which one is it?)

It's a little extra hassle but really worth it - all 3 of my pre-outs have RCAs connected and i can control pretty much the lot from the HU.

The left and right do work and front and back but the bass really fades out from left to right. I have a seperate sub control RCA lead which I am not using however because all is connected to the rear output RCA I can still adjust the bass. what benefits will the seperate sub control give me?

The bass fading out when you change left/right balance is because the amp is summing the two together and when one level lowers you remove some of the signal. If you have a sub control out then use that as it wont change levels when you fade the speakers.

Yeah bass goes up and down with volume at the mo! So basically I will get more control of my bass whcih is really what I want! I have an extra RCA set so will attempt to re-wire soon!

Thanks guys
