1.9 TDI 105, anyone chipped???

HI,

Just wondering if anyone has had the this engine chipped?? If so what with / who by??

I'm looking to get it done but no idea where to start.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My friend had his chipped by revo. It makes a big difference 105 bhp chips to 150bhp.Highly recommended.

105 up to ~135

2.0 performance from the 1.9 now

Got my 1.9Tdi mapped with a custom code phase 1 by the guys at F1Btn, really happy with the results and very helpfull.

The car was ok before the map, but the difference is great. Once mapped it made the car drive very smoothly and the first few days of driving it afterwards are great fun, its been nearly 6 months now so forgotten what it was like before! The extra power is very noticable.

Fuel economy increases slightly if you take it easy, but you won't be to resist for the first few weeks and I noticed a bit of a drop, but nothing drastic.

Most I've ever got mpg wise is 63mpg on a 35 mile / 45-55 mph stretch of A road, and least I get is 35mpg round town.

Mine was just a mild map to give more performance above 3000rpm, and very slight improvement in torque below that.

As for cost, well I wa sin the right place at the right time and got a special offer price, but IIRC the normal price is ~£250

Can't recoment Pete Bell enough though, his knowledge is outstanding.

Oh and mpg was actually very slightly improved

Cheers will take a look, they have a mobile installer near me which makes things easier.

they have a dealer network,see there website (superships.co.uk) sure ya will be able to sort somrthing out either with them direct or through a dealer of theres .....................hope ya get something sorted !!!!!!!!

Slightly off topic but can anyone confirm that the Leon 1.9TD is the same PD unit as in the Skoda Octavia or is the Leon non PD? Many thanks.

The Octavia, New Fabia, Leon, Golf, Audi A3,A4 all have the 1.9tdi in certain models. All are PD.
