Right then peeps, we are looking to get a dog.....and ive sussing out how to keep my LCR boot nice and clean......and what other peoples experiences are...

Ive found on ebay a dog bar thing that fits between the seats and roof....and i was thinking of getting one of the plastic trays you get for the boot with rugs on it...

who puts there dog in the back of their LCR?

Experiences please or products you use or have bought?

Cheers

Rich

i have the seat dog guard and the boot tray

what i do is have one of those large waterproof sheets that i hang from the rear headrests down into the boot and her bed goes on top of that.

To stop her chewing/slobbering on the sides i have made some cardboard piece that fit the sides, basically turning the boot into a box/cage

I didn't worry about a dog guard when I had my LCR. The gap between the top of the seats and head lining is quite small and as my dog is quite big he never tried to come over. The worst bit was trying to get the hairs of the back of the rear seats.

Id agree with the hairs on the back of the seats!! Also the head rests in the back get covered when she pokes her head through to see whats going on.

Ive got a lab so didnt need to bother with the dog guard as shes too big to jump through always meant to get a boot guard but never got round to it!

yeah i had a few dogs in my car sat night..some girl mates on a night out .little wino's singing in my ear..... hahaha

that one had to pop up at some point

I WILL NOT CONDONE SUCH BLASPHEMY to the LEON!

Although i actually have a dog called "leon" who is a big hairy beast (he came before the Leon car came out before anyone says anything)...I found those waterproof seat covers pretty good. Oh and the rubber rear mat is brilliant for Dogs.

Oh I agree with pat on this, the dog will never go in my car even if he was dieing...i'd pick him up and run to the vet with him.
