sorry for being dumb im a n/a guy at the min but hopefully getting an ibiza cupra tdi or leon fr150. what is turbo chatter? need to get clued up before i take the plunge lol

the noise the turbo makes when you let off the throttle mine is quite loud but i would like to make it louder is there a specific valve to do this
well to be honest unless you fit a dump valve i dont think there is mate...and a dump valve on a diesel would be a bit weird

i had a dump valve on 306 d turbo and sounded good but i dont want the tssssh sound just want the chatter
isnt the chattering caused when the turbo stalls ? If its the same for diesels as it is for petrol then i wouldnt recommend it!

Turbo Chatter is just a result of the turbo stalling.
This isn't good for the turbo and will eventually cause problems for it, so its probably best to avoid doing this unless you can afford new turbos whenever they fail for the sake of a strange noise.

Fit a stainless like a magnex which I have, it makes the noise a lot louder. When i do it in 2nd or 3rd people turn round in the street!

u need an induction kit
i have one on my tdi and it sounds amazing - its like a woooooti kh kh kh
i cant realy make out how its cause but am guessing that when the gear is changed it like the air force causes the air intake to whiplash and shake causing the noise like a deep dump valve - there are more posts of this in other areas if you look and some of them recomend which kit to go for about £70

don't fit an induction kit, all you will be doing is sucking the hot air from your engine bay into the intake!!!!! 
get an PD160 intake scoop & hose and use a green panel filter in the standard airbox
