electric window motor - what else fits?

Hi my drivers side electric window broke months ago and fed up of not having a window.. over £100 for a new one so been looking at scrapys with noy joy..

does anyone know if the polo or golf electric window unit will fit a mk2 1998 ibiza tdi 2 door?

or anywhere I can get one from?

the other side as began to get stiff/not closing all the wat does it just need greasing the runners?

Not sure about the polo but i had a look at a mk3 golf and it was different !!

apparently nothing else fits get on ebay germany look for elektrische fensterheber for the ibiza 6k,they seem to pop up a lil more frequently there and cheaper too....mine was £36delivered....

I will have to keep that in mind incase i need to get one!!

Plus if i get stuck with any translation i can get my brother to translate for me!

for the other window thats slow just try greasing the runners 9 times out of ten cures the problem

I've just replaced my window motor and guides (it come as one unit) - from this lot on ebay who are selling them for between £65 (left hand side) and £83 (drivers). The unit is not OEM, but is well made and does the job.

The packet told me that it was the same item as for similar age (T-reg) golf and polo - don't quote me on that, but you might find polo / golf motors for cheaper?

I recently replaced my window motor last month. It broke because of a robber. They took everything inside the car. What an unfortunate event.
