right folks i am so close to getting a milltek system for my car but i just want to ask if anyone has had any problems with there car since fitting the system..

reason i ask is that someone i know has said that if i fit a DP/cat to my car a light will come on the dash and the car may go into limp mode...

i just want to double check before i spend some money that i dont have lol...

also will the car pass an mot test with the 200cell cat

thanks in advance

Yep no probs, doesnt djhorace have the full milltek with no probs?

what size are you going for?

I know i have asked this before, but what price is the Milltek turbo back system.

Once developed here we shall be offering a SCN discount on the newly developed products ;)

Got the car booked in 21st April for 3 weeks so will have parts avaliable then :)

Owen, I've got a Hybrid system on mine, Milltek 3" DP/Cat, mated to a Supersprint Cat-back non-resonated system, and I can categorically state that the emissions light does NOT come on, and it flew through the emissions test with flying colours, and boy does the turbo spoolup quicker, much more low down punch, only miffed (with myself) that I didn't ask for an SCN discount....

Looking forward to seeing the prices as the Miltek is one expensive bit of kit, worth the money though reading people's comments.

I just could'nt justify over £1k for an exhaust especially with a little one on the way in June.

well i am getting a DP/cat form a mate off of here for a decent price and i am just goin to get the cat back from awesome as the have quoted me happy yet again so looks like the whole setup should come to a grand total of £600 which is a bargain i think... only problem is that the DP is 2.75" instead of 3" but i am not going to spend another £500 just for 1/4"

£500 for 1/4 inch?

What you said about the emissions light sounds like the lambda wasn't plugged back in afterwards.

well i had a quick shot of it when he was on his way home from getting it fitted but i have forgotten how it sounded but i remember it being EVO like and that was when it was new, it is probebly alot better now. might pop up to see him some night.

hows your motor going Junior

stock evo is nothing, full system on cupra is crazy, if you are sitting in the car its almost normal, but if you are on the street and cupra is going in full throttle, unbelievebl!!!!!!

Hey ppl.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am not to sure how Exhausts work.
I want a miltek fitted to my car ( fr tfsi.)
But I can not make sense of the milltek site what is a HI-FLOW SPORTS CAT AND DOWN PIPE.
And what’s the difference between this and a CAT-BACK - Non-resonated .
Do i need both these parts as i have seen above people have said they have a full system is that meaning they have both these parts fitted and it costs over 1k.
And others are saying they are getting a milltek for around 600 pound is that only a cat back.
Can anyone help me I want a loud system so i understand that’s non resonated then but I want it also for the added performance.
So what would I need fitted to my car and what price am I looking at paying.
Cheers for all your help Ali.

well mate, the way i look at it is the downpipe is used mainly for power increase and the cat back is for sound mainly...you should be able to get a cat back for around £400 and the downpipe/cat for about £500 I THINK...

i may be wrong all together lol

the downpipe is what comes from the turbo then its joined to the cat...
then the next part is the cat back which is usually where the silencers are placed

So i could get the cat back fitted for the noise i want.
Then at a later date i could go back and get the down pipe fitted so i do not have to blow so much money at once.
Cheers for your help

This is what I am doing on thursday. Then start saving the pennies again for the rest of the system.

Do it do it do it do it.

Might post a clip up tomorrow to make you all aware of what all the fuss is about ;)
