Pipercross viper induction kits for 1.8 T 20v

Just about to order a pipercross viper kit, anybody got one fitted currently?how do u find them performance and soundwise? any other suggestions im lookin to spend £200-£300!

on an induction kit?! WHY?! get a universal cone filter.. much cheaper and you wont see a difference. spend the 200-300 on something more worthwhile, like the k03s turbo or something

what could i do to the ko3 though?has your cone filter made any real difference though?

cone filter.. umm doubt it's had much of a performance difference, but what it has done is made it sound so much better. hear the spool and dump pretty loud. filter cost me 40 quid i think.

do you have a remap? that's the best performance mod you can do for the money...

yea ive already a stage one remap, quite pleased with it, just want the noise to sound abit beefier and maybe get abit more power at the same time!

well i think the viper is a waste of money personally. i'd get an open cone filter. i went for the jetex one like many (Do a search). really good meaty sound and spool/dump. i'd save the cash for something else!

get ur self a tip and universal filter, jetex or something, like rhys has said. A forge 007p dv. Exhaust would be a better mod to make ur car beefier and free up some horses

As above. Save your money and get a proper product, not some over-hyped piece of crap. The Viper is a complete waste of money.

as above just get one of these in 70mm, and maybe a silicon elbow to make it look nicer.

you could have all this (inc. the TIP) for £200 and have enough change for a few beers

Yes what ever you do dont get a viper-i used to have one-waste of money and kept fcukin me MAF up.

Phil logged a few cone filters a while back not incuding the viper but the jetex flowed the best.

Agree with robby about it being 'hyped' up. Your paying for name there i think.

If you search for Jetex cone filter you should find a 5-6 page thread with loads of information in including all part numbers and the best retailers to get everything from

depends which one you want. Any 70mm will do but they have different power ratings etc

i got k&n typhoon was just under 300 but i love it! filter is down behind foglight and even though i was warned about maf problems i havent had any.

if he wants to get a better induction sound he's better off with a open cone anyway. Closed induction kits are alot quieter.
