Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum (been watching for about a week now), but potentially this could be a "Sticky" post (as I think it's relevant to all new Leons).

I ordered a new Candy White Leon FR today with a few toys (18" Alloy upgrade, Bluetooth, Convenience pack, iPod kit. Y'know, the essentials ;) ). To say I am excited is an understatement :D

However, my only criticism of the whole car it that the interior is somehow a bit dull. The centre console looks especially sparse. As a result, I'd love to make the interior a bit more interesting. The Seat UK site doesn't give much info on extras, but Seat.com does.

At any rate, I'd love feedback on whether you either have the following additions OR whether you think they would clash with the FR "dull silver" interior trim:

1. Front/Rear door trim kit:

2. Sill guards:

3. Interior Trim Kit (not sure if Standard, Aluminium or Matte Chrome is best):

4. Gauge Cover(not sure if Chrome, or Matte Chrome is best):

5. Finally the pedals. I personally think the Mk V Golf GTi pedals look the Dogs, but they also look tricky to fit, so these would be a good compromise:

...Obviously I'd like everything to match, but if you have better suggestions, or better still, if you own any of the above, please speak up! I don't want clashing trim, just nice complementing trim.....

Also, would you advise dealer fit, or self fit (if so, where to order from?)

Thanks in advance for advice! Hope this helps other Leon noobs :)

David Swanson has the alu kit on his Cupra and it is nice, but I think I am gonna leave mine dreary and black inside :)

the cupra is altogether a different place than the fr, alot darker. i have none of the above 'plastic parts', as i personally think they cheapen the interior further.
i went for the sunroof to lighten the interior, and shat nav for the dash.
and a very nice place to sit it is too!

Really depends on the person. I personally like the whole dark prince ambience mine has when I am driving. Means that whilst the visibility is not as good as other cars, what you do see, gets your full attention.

The problem you have is you cant get all the bits in matching finishes.

Door trim is brushed, yet the bits which are fitted OE, like the gear gator surround & the bits on the vents are chrome.

Then you have the greyish greeny paint on the dash to confuse stuff even more.

I've added MK5 Gti pedals to mine, sill guards, both being brushed finish & at the same level, I've now added the guage surrounds in Chrome, as they will match the upper items such as the vent adjuster bits.

You have to be careful otherwise you may end up looking like you've ram raided halfruads :help:

I have the aluminium door kit on the cupra and I think it makes a big difference in a positive way. Oh and I have the acentre armrest. I think the interior looks quite nice now!

...I hear where you are coming from. I reckon I'll have to think about this carefully.
