Rear Airbags ??

I just noticed today that behind my rear windows the pillar has Airbag written on it ? Does this mean I have got rear airbags in the car, I didn`t ask for them ? Or do all leons have airbag written there, I wouldn`t think it should say it if they are not present .

Yes you do have rear airbags, i think its all leons apart from the base model that has them

I thought they were a cost option ? What is the rear airbag option then, are they somewhere else ??

its side airbags that are standard and rear air bas are an option

Mine also had the badge but the car didn't have them fitted.

Ahh, you would have thought they wouldn`t be allowed to put the sign there without the bag ? But that was what I suspected ..

Hi Bainie

I asked the same question at the dealer they are side curtain airbags. Rear airbags are a cost option.

They are the curtain airbags that cover the windows which are standard.

The optional rear airbags are built into the seat IIRC, similar to the ones in the front seats.

The optional airbags are indeed in the rear seats,

If you have them it will sat airbag between the seat and the door

So does that mean the standard Leon Stlyeance comes with the following..

1 passenger side dash
1 steering wheel
1 in drive seats side
1 in passenger seat side
1 above drives head
1 above passengers head
1 for rear passenger above head on the drivers side
1 for rear passenger above head on the passenger side

so 8 in total ?
