They are the exact wheels I want to put on my Chrono FR TDi but in the same gun metal colour as the std wheels. Did you get them in black or get them painted your self and also have you got the size/offset (or partnumber) of the 18" CH's as I want to make sure I get the same size as the ones that are fitted at the moment.

Sorry for all the questions!

Thanks.

I got them supplied in black from www.rimstyle.com. I rang them and they waived the postage. Really helpful people and were able to answer all my queries on the spot. Ordered a set of chrome wheel nuts afterwards too as the standard ones that come with them are poor.

Hi, racer66 I have a white leon cupra and I wanted to paint my wheels gunmetal like you did. Can you post a photo of your ride so to see how they look like in reality. Thanks in advance.

I have heard that the std Golf Gti wheels with the silver diamond cut face are no longer available as there have been too many complaints under warranty due to the laquer chipping and the face de-laminating.

Anyone else heard / seen this ?

Brave maybe, but I bought some...

I got the Monza 18" wheels in gunmetal grey, looks less like the Golf GTi with the all-grey finish and I am not that impressed with the Cupra Orion alloys, they are a multi-spoke car-cleaners nightmare.

Not fitted them yet, will get it sorted at the weekend.

I am still thinking of having the std Orions powder coated, so any help or advice with this would be much appreciated...

Any chance your sellin the original cupra wheels? I will take them off your hands depending on how much your selling them for :p

We must be talking £825 + collection ?

Am still interested in the powdercoating option... :)

I also have a set of the GTi Golf replica wheels, but I have an air leak in the middle of my rim ! :(
Never seen that before, it's like a really slow puncture, loses about 3 psi per day.
I am taking it back to where i bought them for a replacement...

I took my original ones off to swap to my new Gti set as I thought the Cupra wheels were a pain to keep clean.

They would be better with a higher gloss finish, the semi-matt attracts muck & brake dust. [:@]

The Gti ones are better for Aero to, not sticking out so much, and a damn sight easier to clean ! ;)

Leaking wheels ...

Got a brand new wheel from Merseyspeed in Livepool today, - they replaced the porous wheel that was leaking air without any hassle and did a nice balancing job on the new wheel too.

So Thanks chaps ! I can strongly recommend ! :)
