If the PD130 has a KP39 and the PD150 has a Garret GT1749V even if both cars have the same FMIC,exhaust etc the PD150 will produce more power over a longer rev range due to the simple fact it has a larger turbo charger that can flow more air FACT ! I should have the compressor maps from both turbos on one of my computers that i could post up if you still don`t believe/understand what i am saying.

I tried so hard to stay out of this stupid willy waving thread. :doh:

Come on devon, you are a bit guilty of it yourself as you would not post up your figs in your signature.
Scotty I have never had my car up the strip it might blow up (130k now!)

From what i have seen on speedo vids, a remapped Ibiza 130bhp does 60-100 in approx 10.5 to 11 secs. A remapped PD 150 Heavier Golf 9 secs.

Mick, I timed my car from 60 to 100 in fourth at 10.5 seconds and that was before I had the map increased. Through the gears i would expect to see around 9 as you say.

I'm with you on this one, not against you - the point i'm making is that it was tested on a reliable basis against PD150 cars :)

im not saying your not lol, using his reg plate is the only way to tell its not a 150, as everything else is the same now, different fmic thats about it:)

I'd rather a PD150 anyday.

The PD130 SMIC and Turbo are poop.

ok mate, why you got a fabia vrs then if the 130 are sh!t, plus i dont really think a 130 running 193bhp on standard turbo is cr@p

i think you might want to join here

The point we're trying to make is this;

1. Brakes on both are the same - they need upgrading
2. Both need a remap

For what you'd save on buying a 130 over a 150 diesel ... all of the improvements on the 150 would be yours for far less leaving you more cash for tinkering and at the end ...a comparable car with more mods and more change in your pocket.

That's the point :)
