Once she's run in we need some logs to mull over.
How low are your skirts off the floor Rob as i need to see whether your new car jack will be low enough for my car.

Rob, glad you're satisfied with the manifold. Hope you'll enjoy it!

Liran.

Good that it's up and running again better than before.

Perhaps you can get to the UKMKIV v Seatcupra.net RR at Awesome in November once it fully settled and mapped. I think the day will heavily feature B/T cars although I don't think there are that many Golf's converted to my knowledge.

Dunno m8, Awesome is kinda far away for me.

Got some new pics, of the density line mounts, manifold and water swirl pot.

I painted the mounts before fitting, 2 coats etch primer then 2 coats metallic silver. They are fantastic mounts, engine and tranny feel taught and smooth without any harsh vibrations. I went with street density engine and tranny, plus track density dogbone mounts.

I fitted a water swirl pot from an Escort/Fiesta RS turbo to the top radiator hose when the system was empty, should be doing a good job of removing air from the cooling system, I removed the 4-way plastic union and fitted the swirl pot instead, sprayed it satin black before fitting.

New TIG-ART manifold is turning some pretty shades of gold and purple already!

Next job is the oil cooler but will be having a break for a while before I do that.

That manifold looks almost identical to mine :)

Plastikote metallic silver and Wurth acid etch primer, 2 coats of each. Very easy paint to use, goes on well and dries quick. I saw it on a Ford Escort Cosworth rebuild thread and the guy used it on his gearbox etc. and it looked great.

Got my USRT Walbro pump installed today, pretty easy with the wiring harness, the hardest part was hooking up the yellow wire to fuse #28, which powers the OE pump relay. Now it's all installed you can hear the Walbro priming up when you open the drivers door, same as the OE pump!

Next job is the Mocal oil cooler.
