Got my new 08 Leon company car from there about 1 month ago. Everything was very smooth and quick. Lorraine the sales lady was a great help. Had 2 issues when the car was picked up, some damaged paint work from what looked like bird crap and the wet windows. Took it in the other day for both jobs to be done.

Booked it in for the paint work before I knew about the windows but they managed to do both in the time they had allocated for just the paint work. They had done their first wet windows job a few weeks before so were fine with the fix. They gave me a free courtesy car (unfortunately an Altea!! but I did expect just a bog standard Ibiza so not all bad) and gave my car a quick wash when it was ready before I drove it home.

Paint work has been done very well. Very good team there. Sam in service and Lorraine in sales are very good. Definitely recommend that dealers.

They haven't provided the level of service that I expect and so I've been to the dealer in Leek, Staffs and have now extended the journey to Willoughby's, Notts. So-far so-good.

I've found that GK have been more than helpful when it comes to parts and servicing, no quibbles or hassle, unlike Willoughby's who argued the toss for 3 months over my wet windows, and their parts department are superb, best service I've ever had from any parts department...

How did you find Leek, i fell out with them and complained to regional sales and now deal with Stoke, good bunch. They were poor (to be polite)

Ive just bought a car from Willoughbys and cant say too many nice things about them to be honest, i have a thread in this section titled (not impressed)

Think its a lottery where ever you go and with any make of vehicle, modern life seems to have lost too many of its standards.

I have purchased two Leons from Willoughbys and the service from parts and sales was acceptable. I have struggled consistently, however, with getting anything done under warranty for three years now and I am weary of travelling there to collect the car to find nothing has been done or that SEAT would not authorise the work.

My neighbour has a Clio Trophy just out of warranty and two days before it expired he took it in with a small oil leak on the engine. Renault proceeed to replace the drive train, the gearbox, the alternator belt and while they were at it they put a new cam belt on coming to around £3ks worth of work! No quibble! Did I buy the wrong car? :D

I recently spoke to Seat customer services who referred me to Derby (GK) and I have to say I was very impressed with the lengths John on service desk went to to help me. They were able to address 70% of the issues and I am getting a new exhaust fitted under warranty next week which I didn't expect. I feel more reassured by the facilities they have there too, the garage is what you would expect and it was immaculate and manned by people who looked lik ethey new what they were doing. Willoughbys feels too back street and dated - it needs a bit of a face lift IMHO.

The babe at Willoughbys has now left...

Their facilities certainly appeal to me more than Willoughbys, even if it does add 90 mins to my round trip going there!

I just need to get one of them to figure out if I have a wheel bearing issue without me having to put the brakes and wheels back to stock! Jokers! :D

One criticism i would have is that the dealers have final say on whether theycarry out warranty work - they are not obliged to do anything they don't want to! Not good!!

I got my Ibiza from GK Derby and the whole bunch of them were fantastic!! Service was fantastic!! People were fantastic!! I know for sure that when i come to get rid of the Ibiza in a few years time i will be going straight back to GK to make the swap!

my partner took her 4 year old Ibiza into GK in Derby - the EPC and engine light were both on

They plugged it in but noticed that both brake lights were out,

They replaced both bulbs and bingo job done - this was at 5 pm whilst we waited...

They took 30 mins max

The charge ?

£3.36 for the bulbs - that in my book is fantastic service !!!

After SEAT refused to sort some warranty issues under warranty (after a two week investigation) I have frozen all SEAT spend. That includes servicing, extended warranty (that they sent me 3 letters over) and anything else requiring me to go to a SEAT dealer. [:@]

The local VW did her 40K service and I was very impressed, they collected and returned the car, much more comprehensive print out of what was done than SEAT give and so far so good! It is a shame as I like GK but i'm not backing down on this one!

GK Derby

I recently bought a 59 plate Ibiza via a third party from the Derby stealers. On arrival I noticed it had 2 albeit small dents, not what you'd expect on a brand new car. Anyway stealers have said they will pay for the repair (big deal) but as to a gesture of goodwill/compo forget it! Poor to say the least[:@]

I went to look at a Leon FR at GK Derby and was very impressed with th service and helpfullness. They were very relaxed and no hard sell which is appreciated, sadly they could not match the seatcarsdirect.co.uk price so brought the car from them but any warranty work or part's will most likely be done there being only 4 miles away from home and on my way to work.
