good theory! must hurt having that much foresight sometimes! Might invest myself a filament lamp or two... 100w light aimed at your feet :D

It comes naturally so no pain involved ;)

I think LED's are way better than filament bulbs. A 100w lamp is more powerful than your bulb in your living room! I would imagine that if left on for a long time it would drain your battery. hows that for foresight.

Cant wait for the LEDs to arrive - looks like i'll be getting them for free no aswell if i do some work on their site. ace

right, finally got some photos, but there a bit crappy, much better in the flesh, not too bright, but bright enough if you know what i mean

hi guys

Its late so I havent read all this post and I dont know if this has been said before.....

does the mk3 have door switches? ie the lil button that gets pressed when the door opens and closes?

if so you could use it, take a direct 12v supply to the new lamp and then pick up the neutral from the door switch...

would this not be easier?

i'd like to trace them lower down purely for ease. but i dont know where i should be looking...

if not i was just going to run wire down the pillars hidden somehow

Shoudlnt you be able to get a feed from the door switch somehow? Surely there must be feed somewhere either going to the door locking mechanism or a seperate door "open" switch where you could get a feed from or if not a switchable earth?

Oh well, worth a try...
Back on subject, I'm not sure i get what you mean by the lil button? Do you mean the 'locking pin' thing on the door which allows you to lock them from the inside?
