just going by what they told me. I have an 04 LCR 225 and they wont push it above 1.2/1.3 bar top end unless the rods are changed. Never really understood it myself as they push the ihi's to over 1.4bar maybe the ko4 gets too hot I dunno

my hybrid k04 get really hot had to by the biggest forge front mount

highest intake temp I've seen is 37c with the forge front mount. What kind of power were you running on your k04 before the bottom end let go?

i'd be looking at the mapping to find out why the tubby is getting so hot rather than bringing down the temps after the charge air has been through the blower with a larger intercooler. i used to have a map on my LCR that caused the car to run so lean under boost that my turbo got so hot that it caused fault codes from the EGT sensor, apparently i was lucky not to cause damage to the engine, turbo or crack the manifold.

I agree with karlos, near standard cars with the hybrid k04 have produced 300bhp and 330lb/ft on completely standard exhaust and using the factory side intercoolers

Why stop at 300bhp? If you're going to go for it I'd go high 300's (sure some Leons on here run 360ish). There again being rational there is the issue of standard internals (doh!).I have 300 odd and it barely feels any different to 270 in my stage 2 Leon. I'd suggest you aim higher if you really want to feel the difference. It wouldn't cost that much more.

The S3s are heavy arnt they, so not suprised the stage 2 LCR feels just as quick.

Just a bigger turbo charger :)
