i know cant get them in 195/45/16 but can get in 205/40/16 will that be ok?

many thanks

Most people on here seem to go for Toyo Proxes or Goodyear Eagles I think?

I use an excellent tyre which is great in the wet also and good value, called Vredestein Sportrac 3.

Excellent tyre id recommend it, have to order then get it fitted.

how much do they cost? eacttyre i mean?

I think tyres usually for 16's unfitted are about £55-65 for very good mid range tyres.

Camskill are good and also try blackcircle.org

I think either of the three will be good, difficult to say which is best as all tyres do different things, but im happy with mine, super in the wet, plus one set have done 10k and havent worn much compared to the new set ive just got.

wicked will check em out now! although i know a place where i can get decent 2nd hand tyres so gonna check tha out, think there liek 20 quid a tyre!

well there is and i got 2nd tyres on mine only did about 2miles before i got them lol

there is ,you see if you crash your car, with new tyres those tyers will come off and someone will buy them, there for they are 2nd hand

i found a company called 'star tyres' in lancashire that sell them

^^

If you get brand new you know what you are getting, and have good choice, with second hand you can get good ones but you havent the same guarantee, you have to be lucky to get them, as why have people taken them off in the first place?

Gets what you pay for

Put it this way if im on a wet and slippy road in bad weather id be glad i paid extra for tyres i can rely on

well a crashed car you can see why and also i am thinking of taking my tyres off for brand new one but mine are mint with 6mm of tread so nothing wrong just want new tyres

Watch the look on the tyre fitting place when you ask them to replace tyres with 6mm tread lol

I did the exact same thing, my old tyres were unbranded and kept deflating to 12psi each week so i got fed up, they thought i was bonkers. (they may be right, but not for those reasons)

On 2nd hand tyres, you can get them, question of choice isnt it really, if you know how to spot a dud tyre then they can be okay.
