Weird engine noise ?

Hey guy's

My car make's like a grunting noise when i pull away,sort of like a grrrrrrr!!I think it's when there's strain on the engine!
It's hard to explain!Coming somewhere from the engine bay Any ideas?

does it sound like a bit of plastic vibrating? as mine just started this before coming home from work, sounds lie its coming for the aux belt area

No it sounds a really deep sound!it vibrates through the peddles,I was thinking air filter?but I'm not sure!

hhmmmmm, I will have a closer inspection of mine tomorro and see - but as you said mine happens when I just ease off the clutch

No just when I put it in to gear and (lift) the clutch!! Does it with the handbrakes on as well

Yeah it's defo from the engine! or maybe clutch!

It's when I start to lift the clutch and give more throttle,the more i give it on the throttle the more I can hear it!

Yeah I can't hear the noise until I put it in 1st and lift the clutch,and there's strain on the engine

27k mate,and it hasn't long had a service,

Must admit my LCR with no air feed to my BMC does make a very deep burble when putting a load on engine but not moving.

Yep. Handbrake on, engine running, in gear, bring car to biting point and quite a burble. Doesn't sound nasty on mine. Does it on yours?

Yep that's the same thing as I'm hearing,no it doesn't sound nasty,it's quite beefy!
Just wanted to know if I should be worrying about it!
