Hi all,

I recently posted about lots of problems I'm having with my car. I'm also having problems with the garage. It's a 2025 CUPRA Leon.

There is one noise that the garage have said they think might be a pulley but with no urgency tried to get it booked in.

It is now booked in but they have said they can't replace anything based on a video that I've taken of the noise. Is that true? Surely if they hear the noise they can determine what it is?

It's a high pitched sound that comes on when it's hot and moved in the rhythm of the engine and then when I turn the car off it makes a sort of short sharp squeak (so hard to explain).

I'd also really like to know what causes something like this to go wrong on a car that was only 12 months old when I first heard it?

Anyone got any thoughts? I do have a video of it but not sure how to upload on here.

It's going to the garage on Monday so would be good for me to go as prepared as I can.

Thank you

The starter/generator makes a high pitched noise during various points of operation.

I've had four vehicles with the 1.5TSI engine in and they've all done it.

Any issues starting the engine?

I've never had problems before like this and it only seems to do it when it gets really hot after about an hour of driving and then I hear it at slow speed or when I turn it off?

I can't really help without hearing the noise I'm afraid, but they do make a few unusual noises that are normal.
