18,s lowered 30mm is fine, mine is lowered 30 mm on inovite cts et35 offset and absolutly no scrubbing.

I put 17" RS6 replicas on my 130 TDi with standard suspension, looked great.
If you are looking at lowering or are going to paint the wheels a darker colour, you may want to go the 18" route.
I certainly wasn't dissappointed
16" standard wheels
17" RS6 reps
Also put a different backbox on the exhaust system. Oval look tailpipe cut into rear valance which looked + sounded nice.

looks okay, a little too high for me and 18s will be higher still.....
rs6 spokes look small in 17s, 18s lot chunkier.

scamps, car looks good mate i kinda like the look of the rs6's, what does everyone think to them being white on a black car???
Why will it be higher on 18" wheels than on 17"? The diameter of the wheel and tyre will be the same whatever the diameter of the wheel as the aspect ratio of the tyres is adjusted to suit the wheel diameter.

You were talking about changing the exhaust too. Found this picture of mine to give you an idea.
Maybe it is just an illusion but I would think that a larger diameter wheel, especially in a contrasting colour, will give the illusion that the gap between the wheel and arch has reduced.
Although the overall diameter will be the same, an 18" rim will be 1/2" closer to the wheel arch than a 17" rim, therefore the car should appear lower on an 18" rim? Probably most apparent on a black car with light coloured wheels?

I might have missed it in the excitement of the thread, but probably worth looking on the main forum list for the dealer feedback section ("SEAT Dealers: Your say" or something I think) and just putting a thread together with the name of the dealership, the good guy(s) and the bad guy(s). Make it as emotionless as possible, stick to the facts, and you never know who you might help out long term in your time here.
Glad it's all sorted finally though, shame you had to make the journey again although I'm sure having driven down in the "pokey" 110 you were even more impressed on the way back with the proper 130 you collected!

Hmmm possibly, might need to go some more photoshopping to see what it would look like clearer. On a side note my phillips silvervisions arrived today, pretty sure i only ordered them tuesday night !? Gotta fit them now.
Phillips silvervision indicator bulbs fitted today, skoda wiper ordered, c2 aerial is also on order, seat leon matts black with red beading and leon logo on order, got a brand new key fob courtosy of SEAT warranty , and fitted my pioneer mp3 player.

If you go for 18" wheels you will have no issue with scrubbing at all. My car is lowered approx 30-35mm and its absolutely fine. Even with the car loaded to the roof with the seats down, no scrubbing! Anything smaller is too small. Anything bigger - well you'll have to search a bit, but i would imagine that they may rub. Best to ask via someone in readers rides that has 19" wheels. My RS6 replica's have done 30k miles with no signs yet of blistering. I think I paid £540 with Avon ZZ3 tyres for the set. They weren't absolutely perfect in terms of finish - slightly rough edges on rear of spokes, a couple of very minor marks under the paint - but I went through loads of their stock and they were all a little bit less than absolutely perfect, but then you get what you pay for. I would buy them again from the same place (alloywheels.com) as they were good value.

not telling me becks cupra is as low as standard on the 18inch upgrade....
look at ant car with bigger alloys fitted and not lowered they all sit higher.
