I have had my leon for just over a month now, and have been noticing some warning lights on the dash do not light up or sound.

Cruise Control light
Seat belt warning
Washer Fluid

Could it simply be a bulb out?
I thought that my washers would have atleast made a sound when empty, same as the seat belts.

Any ideas?

Cruise control light really depends on the car (yea really) Some cars have it and some don't, its basically pot luck for that one.
Seat belt warning should go off (along with a ping ping ping as you drive off) I would get that checked.
There is no light for washer fluid levels on non Bluetooth cars you don't get any warning at all. On cars with Bluetooth you get a warning though.

Haha, cheers mate.

Its a 55 plate 2.0TDI Sport, one of the early ones, with no bluetooth.

That explains most of it then.

I heard you can get the seatbelt warning turned off? So maybe that is the case?

Only had my FR 3 months so still learning it's qwerks.
The passenger seatbelt warning came on yesterday even though I was alone in the car.

It seems a bottle of wine and a two pint container of milk on the passenger seat = 1 passenger:D

Obviously very sensitive

Not evident on cupra as dont believe active on passenger but on my old FR you could make it go off just by resting your hand on it when driving.

Also you can set it off with alot less than a bottle of wine, they are very sensitive!

Cruise Control Light comes with Bluetooth

Low Washer Level comes with Xenons

No Passenger Seatbelt Warning on the Cupra

A friend of mine mentioned to me that without the bonging seatbelt warning sound, I risked invalidating my insurance.

Are you meant to get a light or a noise if the driver does not wear their seatbelt?

I dont get any warning for either driver or passenger. :s

I have had my 55 reg leon for 2 week and noticed that I was not getting any light or "ping" when I did not have the drivers seatbelt on. So took It back to the garage today where it spent most of the day and they eventually told me that the seatbelt is not actually wired up to anything in the dash!! They said there is absolutely nothing coming from the seatbelt??

I have an 09 FR with bluetooth and if I switch on the ignition without my seatbelt on, I get a "Please fasten seatbelt!" appear on the MFD. However, I don't get the warning light on the dash or the pinging unless I actually drive off. I think it works well this way - a subtle hint followed by a firmer reminder if you ignore it.
