That sounds fine to me.
Regarding costs there is a huge difference in cost variations depending on who supplies it.
Turbo Technics tend to be very good on price.
Standard rebuilt turbo for a pd 150 around £380 exchange or £550 hybrid, which is what I have.

0.38 radial or longitudal play?

Sorry, radial. Spoken to TURBO TECHNICS and they say "upto 1mm radial, but no play longitudal"

And it also turns out i have longitudal play too!

So they are offering to rebuild it for £245 +VAT which doesn't seem too bad to me.

cheers for the reply guys.

Watch out to get genuine garrett spare parts and a plot from balancing when you let your turbo rebuilt!

Turbo Dynamics charged me £600 to hybrid a second hand turbo, although they did do a brilliant job with it! Brought it up like new!

AmD 230bhp and 330ft lb

no slippage on the standard clutch... yet...:ill:

That's low torque for a hybrid! seems all the turbo technics turbos are down on torque in comparison to the Turbo Dynamics.....

I'd never consider running hybrid on standard clutch! You have nuts.

down on torque? what "should" i be getting then? glynnd managed 350ft lbs from turbo technics.

not sure if AmD took into consideration that i did not want to change the clutch

either way im a happy lad! im not booting it under 2.5 revs and im using the gears for longer. the power is right through to the redline

I'm not bad mouthing the work you've had done fella, but as a rule hybrid diesels seem to get around 360ft/lb ish. I only know of 3 though.....one is 370ft/lb and the other was 372ft/lb I believe. Tall-Paul had his done too but I'm unsure of his figures.
