totally understand, ive just got a FR front bumper for my leon(sport) and i asked the long haired general what she thought of it. the response was ''whats different about it?'' my jaw nearly hit the floor.
she has the new ibiza 5dr, looks really nice...has she washed it yet....nope. rant over.

There is a flipside to this....she won't notice when you add/change bits on the car. Mine never does :D She has absolutely zero interest in cars and struggles to even recognise ours when I pick her up from work/shopping etc. I bought an Evo X last year and her only remark when she sat in it for the first time was "Where's the passenger sun visor?" being an RS model its not big on extra's and that includes deleting the passenger visor :D

Get a price from a real dealer to try and beat the the leasing company up with.

I got my TDi FR with 18" wheels and the full Tech&Conv pack for almost exactly the same as the list price on the car. The standard discount from the dealer on the car itself paid for the options :)

I did think about leasing direct from the dealers as they have some cracking deals on the Leons at the moment. The problem is it is limited to 10K miles per year and you also have to fund everything else like insurance, road tax, servicing etc etc

Under the company lease scheme i get everything covered and the mileage isnt limited. i basically pay my contribution for a better car than the standard allowance gets me and dont have to fork out for anything but fuel... which i can claim the business bit back.

The only problem with the company scheme is the one i am having now. due to the low residual values of cars at the moment the cost of leasing has gone up so you get a lot less for your money.

6 months ago i would have been looking at an FR with all the options thrown at it... i was at one point looking at a Volvo S40 d5 R-Design !

ok... been "discussing" colours with the lady of the house and she's convince yellow is the way to go.

so, i need your assistance fellow white lovers.

can you post me a pic of your mighty white leons please. the google images results arent inspiring her at the moment

thats the thing... yellow is pretty common round here too... white isnt.

the nayara blue was my first choice but it means i cant have the options i want for the interior so i'm happy with one of the base colours.

oops, edited as i just noticed your looking at the base colours. Was going to say speed blue looks good, picking up my white fr this week so can post some pics of it when i get it.

Sorry don't have any pictures of mine (was aero anyway). In all honesty take her to see one, there must be some around by now. Pictures do not do a white leon justice, I kid you not.

Thanks for the links of pics guys

At one point last night after another chat about colours she said "its up to you"... now we all know that this means its actually not but i'm using that as the basis that its my choice ;)

Right, i have made a decision, which i am planning on sticking to ;)

Candy White
Silver / Black Alcantara
Bluetooth Pack
Conveniece Pack

I could also add the Hill Hold Control but i'm not sure if thats really worth the bother !?

Anyway, thanks for all your input... much appreciated

Personally I wouldn't bother with hill hold. I have it on my Z4 and I find it quite distracting and I tend to hold it on the hand brake anyway.

What lead time have you been given?

If my deal had gone through I was looking at late November, early December.

The current car isnt going back until mid January so it will be ready by then.

Its a lease car rather than a dealer order so i only have to submit the order in the next couple of weeks to give them the time to order and build it ;)
