If your on about stage 2 remap, you ideally want a fmic and decent cold air feed, full exhaust, more than likely an uprated clutch and remap to suit.

If your on about hybrid turbo you want the mods above then a stage 2 PD150 hybrid turbo and remap to suit
Hope that helps

and loads of cash

How very very true!!!

I bet DEVONMIKEYBOY parted with a fair few £££s after Allards had finished with his ibiza and then went and paid for the same treatment again on his A3 - Legend!

Fu**ing stupid more like, hate to think of all the money i have blowed on cars over the years. Scared to work out how much this new fully stripped and uprated engine, gearbox, turbo etc is setting me back.:headhurt:

No write ups at the moment as testing some ideas and not even sure if the turbo will spool good enough for a road car or even if we can control it properly. The turbo came from a truck and is controlled by a stepper motor where as VAG diesel engine turbos are controlled by vacuum. Hoping for about 400bhp and 600lb torque.

:worship:that looks a serious setup!
is this another Allards project?

why the new build, was your old setup not fast enough at 330bhp + 490 ft/lbs?

Allards went bust over a year ago. This my own set up where i have sourced all the uprated parts myself and getting a friend who owns a tuning company TRD has got the job of putting it together and trying to get it to work. The new engine/gearbox is getting fitted because i wanted to try some new ideas out plus i wanted more power.

i'd noticed the Allards site was "under construction" for ages..... sad to hear .....:(

what car did the engine come from?

Your really pushing the boundaries with this 2.0 litre lump, I take my hat off to you far better that all this off the shelf kits ehich i even went down for ease but i did fit the turbo myself lol.

It will certainly make an interesting read once you start posting some infor on the web. The cro treatment must be a first for any 1.9/2.0 tdi.

If thouse 4 cylinders dont have enough displacement to turn that turbo could always try out a a5 3.0l tdi. major cost change lol.

best of luck.
