Hi i havent been on here since i bought my Cupra Alloys lol.

I have a problem with the electrics in my car 'Audio' wise, when i turn off my car and remove my keys (Engine is off) the LCD display on the standard Head Unit goes off but stays lit up... Also just before i had this problem i had a problem with the CD changer i press the CD button on the Dash and i just get a message on the LCD saying 'Error' it does this sometimes and then work's the next day once ive unplugged it all but recently it hasn't worked for a week  Need some decenct music Radio 1 and Kiss just chat all the time...!! Some one save me!! haha

No idea's anyone? basically it just means i have to take the Radio Fuse out to stop the battery going dead over night. :)

Does anyone know a decent Auto Electrician in Bristol that aint going to rip me off? Im determined to sort this out without a bodge job result.. taking the panel off below the steering wheel is irratating and i want the panel back on there i will strip the car if i have to lol.

Do you think SEAT can fix it im thinking of taking it to Holders? took it to Bristol and i dont think they had time.. :|

Takes ages to get a reply on here lol!!! HELP some one i want to know what the fault is so i can tell a Auto Electrician so they dont fanny about with it all day .. :| What is acctually the problem is it a connection or a loose wire if its common there must be a common fault... :S

i think is an internal fault within the radio itself it would be easier to remove the radio yourself only a few screws and either source a replacement or take it to a radio specialist/re-conditioner (loads in yellow pages)

Some of us work and have lives offline mate. Try waiting more than one day before hyperbolising the situation.

do you have remote central locking at all? Does your internal light turn on when you take the key out? could be a sticky switch in the key barrel. WD-40 in the hole. I did it and it fixed this problem for me... If not, either recondition it, source a new one, or fit a new HU ;)
