Been looking for an Ibiza FR recently after my Fabia vRS got written off :(

Found this one on autotrader and seems to be a very decent price, maybe even too good to be true!

...

Okay I just realised im not allowed to post links yet :(

Its the silver 2008 Ibiza FR TDI 47k miles Reg No LR08 BGE

Cost is £7800

Opinions ladies and gents? :)

New autotrader sucks balls

This the one..

Looks a tidy example, slightly above average miles for the age, but thats not always a bad thing, probably 47k easy motorway miles. If its HPI clear, and its all in good condition, then it looks a winner.

Think seat recommend 50k for the cambelt... not a cheap job, budget £300 for that i think.

It's a high miler - you'd be looking at around 24k tops on a 2 year old car normally, but the engines are more than capable of doing it so it shouldn't cause you any problems

Sorry I haven't been able to reply, been bogged down with work really bad recently (5 double shifts and 1 single in a week anybody?!)

Another quick question though, I have seen a few FR's for sale with the headlight washers on the bumper (at least i'm guessing that's what those rectangle bits sticking out are) but they are not specified in the write up.

Does the presence of the washers mean it must have Xenon head lights? Or do they come on some car's with halogens? (I know sounds a stupid question to me but I thought dealers usually shout out about any extras a car may have!)

Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated. [B)]

Its a convenience pack that some of them had.

Think they come with foldy in wing mirrors aswell. Confirm anyone?

Headlight washers on the cars with Xenons. They dont pick up extras all the time, there was no mention of mine having cruise control... didnt find out till the drive home, i was like, whats this do?? Oooooh shiny.

yep i can confirm as i have it bolted on, convenience pack gives you the auto dimming mirror, folding mirrors, under seat storage box, heated mirrors and heated washer nozzles, good bit of kit overall, bar the headlamp washers which are less use than a dog taking a piss against the lights

£7800 tbh i think is about right you should go for it, the prices have dropped like a stone thanks to the MK5 ibiza fr tdi being announced so fill ya boots mate :D

So do you have Xenon headlights with the convenience pack then or halogen and the washers are a bit of a gimmick?

I know by law Xenon headlights have got to have washers don't they? Never heard of them being stick on with halogen headlights before hence my confusion!

Well either that or being up since 5am this morning!

yep your right xenons must have washers,

i unfortunately don't have xenons all tho i would love them. the washers are a gimmick they break all the time and dont actually clean anything  they rest of the convenience pack is useful tho so if you find a car with it on id mark it up on the list
