Hi y'all.
Any advice to get stuff moving / legal rights..?
TDi FR, 07 reg with lifelong "dpf problems".
3 lights + limp home just over 3 weeks ago. In to stealers 3 weeks ago. Leon sitting around about 4 days while they fiddled with VAS 5051B which was playing up.
Eventually collected car 2 weeks ago today after a sizeable bill as the VAS showed no faults and needed forced regen (72% block down to 18%).
I Drove 100miles over the weekend First thing monday morning the dpf regen light comes on, on the motorway so I drove straight to dealer despite the light going out on the exit slipway after 6 miles (driving over dpf regen speeds).
"Leave it with us but were still having problems with the VAS, it might take a few days" and "no we dont have a courtesy car" (so essentially tough sh*t, VERY tough sh*t in rural Cumbria). Got one (Postman Pats van off the Vauxhall forecourt) after a series of heated discussions with various managers.
The VAS is still not working and the Leons still waiting for initial diagnostics after 2 working weeks. To make matters worse the warranty expired last sunday, which everyone was made well aware of, including SEAT Customer Services from the outset.
I have been in touch every day for the last 2 weeks with the Stealers and SEAT Customer services for about 10 days. NOTHING is happenening apart from a stream of steaming b*ll*cks coming back at me down the phone about how everyone is doing their best! I've rung up today and hey, the still faulty but "useable" VAS (which I was promised would arrive by today) isn't there, with no-one but sales staff around (09.30) who knew nothing about... nothing (Shift That Metal!).
I'm pretty sure that as usual this a sensor issue, but my options of getting the car sorted elsewhere (which I suggested on day 1 to the dealers and to customer services later), have now expired with the warranty.
I get the feeling the stealers business priorities have from the outset taken massive priority over mine and that Customer services are probably getting fobbed off as much as I am.
What are my rights re the dealer attending to my Leon "in a reasonable time" and the inaction when everyone knew the warranty was due to expire? How can a SEAT main dealer keep that position if they lack a critical piece of equipment and do nothing to get a working replacement ordered in promptly?
I'm sure I'm not the only person being affected by this issue!
Does anyone have an email address of mangement of SEAT (UK) so I can take things higher up as t'internet (as we say in these parts) seems to be devoid of anything helpful.

You've definitely got a case if they failed to fix it under warranty and you've got the paperwork to prove it. I'm having my DPF removed on Friday because I wanted better performance and I'm working on the basis of "what's not there can't go wrong". What you could do is try for financial compensation and then use the proceeds to get yours removed
