I thought in europe if u order a cupra without the racing brakes u get the fr wheels, i could be wrong but i think i read that somwhere :)

Ummm the cupra has the same wheels as the boc mate. It's the FR wheels that won't fit the brakes.

I dunno what happens in UK but in Greece defo the cupra has 10 spikes and the boca has 5 spikes. The 4piston dont fit the 10spike ones.

Edit: Also the difference between cupra and FR is that FR has silver ones while Cupra has the titanium ones.Since i own the cupra i believe i know what i am seeing.

Oh i see. Is that why he is asking hehehee. Yeah in the uk. upra has same alloys as boc but solver and boc titanium.

I have to echo what Mardon and MK2 Cupra are sayin here..... I have the racing brake upgrade on my Cupra and these brakes are amazing for day to day use full of confidence in them in hot or cold, wet or dry, zero fade and they look the buisness :D Also as said above they are just rebranded AP Racing brakes which is a division of Brembo ;)

Also again adding to that, it is worth it to also get the full size spare....................... oh, and did we say that it really looks the biz? hehehehe

My friends let me explain the logic behind my suggestion, but first let me clarify that i dont say the AP are bad.

Scenario 1) AP Brakes that cost 1250 Euros

Scenario 2) S3 brakes with ferodo pads 350Euros, ECU remap 700 Euros, I/C 500 Euros=1550 Euros and a car of around 225bhp

I hope you see now what i meant.

MK2 and Fredthered,in no way i am mocking your choice by all means and i am sorry if it sounded that way,every1 does whatever he/she wants with their money, we are here to exhange ideas and knowledge.

No worries mate i know your not mocking our brakes, like you say each to their own if your getting more value for your money go down that route ;) we was just giving our opinion of the factory option racing brakes having used them on the roads for a few months now :D

Is that 350 Euros new? Thats pretty good if so. Remember you need disks too.

If you wanted better brakes and were getting the car from brand new IMO i'd just get them from the factory. I'm letting other people trial remaps first.

350 is for second hand, including disks and new ferodo pads

Not really like for like but I certainly see what your saying. You could also get mk4 Seat Sport Brakes which are the same 2nd hand.

i'm not sorry I got the 'racing brake' option, I'm just sorry I didn't sort some brake cooling ducts like I thought I should before I did a trackday - end result, £320 damage. New drilled discs, Ferodo pads and cooling ducts on order from Demon Tweeks.:(

i definetly see where your coming from mate my only hesitation to do this is the fact it will invalidate the warranty... it is a much more logical and cheaper way to do it your way. but say something goes wrong with suspension or brakes and they relay it back to the modification it wont be covered and me who has to fork out for it lol.
