quality oil for my 1.6's service?

Can anyone recommend me THE best oil for my oil filter change im guna do today if Seat has a filter in stock. I know Gen filters are the best from previous threads. but whats is the best oil to go with?

going to throw in a couple of contenders.

Castrol Magnatec 10W40 Oil 4 Litre
Mobil 1 New Life 0W/40 Oil 5

I put in my reg in the Halfords w/site and bar the 2 cheaper Halfords oils these are what was thrown up, good ratings, could these be the ones to go for?

Silkolene PRO S 5W-40 Ester Synthetic Oil from Opie oils would be my choice if money wasn't an issue.

I use Quantum - It's OE for most VAG cars.

what is an OE? and where does one get Quantum?

OE usually means original equipment.

I use Quantum too. I get it from a VAG parts specialist near me which is a lot cheaper than they're selling it in halfrauds.

For Quantum - You can try any SEAT or VW garage

It's not mega money - £20 - £25 for a gallon I believe.
