Hello everyone,
My name is Can. I am from Istanbul / Turkey. I am very very new to SEAT scene. I accidentally found out about the new Ibıza Cupra after I sold my E46 320i to switch to something a bit more economic. I was cruising thorugh almost every car maker's website and BAMN ! when I was looking at the SEAT site, there she was ! Love at first sight
The new Cupra was economic (1.4L), rapid enough for daily driving (180hp) and come with a DSG box (traffic here all the time ) which made it a winner for me.
After a quick online search, I came accross this great site of knowledge and good people. Hope to contribute as much as possible.
So, after a couple of phone calls to local dealers, I located a few Cupras. In order to choose the perfect color and specs, the manager in one the dealers offered to show me the entire inventory at Turkisch customs. (big favour).
On my inventory visit, I saw a sample of almost every color on the catalog and after seeing them all, I made up my mind for an Emocion Red Cupra.
THEN, all of a sudden, hidden out in a far corner, I catched a glimpse of a different color but couldn't tell from a distance.. As I got closer to look, I saw her, a Tribu Yellow Cupra. It was love at first sight AGAIN !!!
Untill then, I didn't even know such a color existed and honestly none of the SEAT people did either.
I immediately called my dealer and asked if the car belong to anyone and luckily it was not !
I asked them to deliver the car to my dealer the next day to see her without her transport covers and such. Today, I saw her again and they also arranged a red one for me to make up my mind for sure. Let me tell you guys, she looked stunning. I took a few pics to show her in real life as I understand there is not a picture of that color on the forum but I need 15 posts. I'll update after I reach 15 posts with pics.
After the OK, I started the paperwork and bought her. She will be ready for pick up as a 2011 model next friday. It will be a long wait but well worth it I believe.
Please tell me what you all think generally about the new cupras. pro's and con's ? Your opinions matter
