As title really. Bought a LCR the other day and at the min its got a 'hissing' type dump valve on (maybe a baileys?) Anyway im not keen on it and i dont think the car is either! The guy also gave me this recirc dump valve...now i HAVE searched and it LOOKS like a Forge but i dont think it is!

Any ideas??

I want to put it on the car tomorrow if you guys think it looks ok! It has no markings/writing on it at all

Cheers, Darren

Ok next question as I'm a novice with LCR's lol...which bit goes where?? I had a look last night, but does the 'longer' pipe on the valve go down and back into the air intake (that's currently blocked off) if that's the case it looks easy enough cheers! :)

Oh and is that the correct way of fitting them as I've seen people 'reverse' them?

Really?? And it doesn't damage anything or throw any error codes?

Nice one :) Am drilling and smoothing my airbox tomorrow as well (still running paper filter) but ordering a replacement panel in next couple of days (piper cross or green)

Cheers guys

if its like the forge ones, fitted the correct way you get a whoosh noise, fitted in reverse it makes a chirp.

:D

i like the chip noise myself, i like to scare padestrians into thinking my car eats little birds.

What u get a whoosh even with it been a recirculating valve and not a vent to atmosphere? Nice :) I'll try both ways round then see which is best! Either way I'm hoping it's better than the VTA one that's on now lol
