Hey again mate, just thought i'd better check you are trying to connect to the right module? Should be number 46 'central conveinience' , not central electrics or central locking. Has caught a lot of people out over the years. Other than that I haven't got much to suggest unfortunately. Sounds like you're doing everything right.

It was number 46 that I was trying.
Ordered my own hex plug and VCDS today instead of replying on a friends laptop. So when that gets here, I’ll be trying to connect again with the head unit unplugged. Is it common for head units to cause this kind of K Line interference?

I've heard of it on the VCDS website etc, but never known any instances of it IRL here on the forum. Definitely worth a try though.

Hello all, update time!

After doing some digging online I found that the part most likely to be causing this fault was the door module. So without being able to connect to 35, 42 and 45 on VCDS still, as it comes up with "No response from controller". I thought I'd try my luck with a new door module. It arrived today and I got it put in the car and still no joy! The exact same issues and symptoms as before.

I then told ChatGPT all of my symptoms and it recommended that the head unit could be interfering with the K Line. I unplugged my head unit and tried connecting to the modules again in VCDS and had the same results. ChatGPT now seems to think that the issue could be a broken or spliced K line somewhere in the dash. My next step, when I have more time is to take the dash apart again and check for continuity between port 7 on my OBD plug and the K line at the plug for the CCM.

Still no further forward at all but things are being narrowed down. AND YES I CHECKED ALL THE FUSES AGAIN! :ROFLMAO:
