Hey again mate, just thought i'd better check you are trying to connect to the right module? Should be number 46 'central conveinience' , not central electrics or central locking. Has caught a lot of people out over the years. Other than that I haven't got much to suggest unfortunately. Sounds like you're doing everything right.

It was number 46 that I was trying.
Ordered my own hex plug and VCDS today instead of replying on a friends laptop. So when that gets here, I’ll be trying to connect again with the head unit unplugged. Is it common for head units to cause this kind of K Line interference?

I've heard of it on the VCDS website etc, but never known any instances of it IRL here on the forum. Definitely worth a try though.
