Have you got tired, weathered plastic trim, that was meant to be black, but is more grey now?

well worry no more, as I have the solution, and it costs.....£2.87 from Tesco's

you lot probably didn't even know it would work :p

so here are the pics for proof...

left hand side = how its grey
right hand side = with the special item :p
(apologise for crappy phone pics!)

so you are asking what is this magic potion.....

...well I have the answer...

Ground Nut Oil (Tesco's) £2.87 for 1litre

people have been using Boiled Linseed Oil for a while, but it STINKS and is quite flammable and can be a b*tch to take off paintwork

this stuff is awesome, it will last 2-3months, and the litre bottle will last you soooo long :)

all you need to do is, apply with cloth/tissue/whatever, then take off excess, then buff off, done :D simple as that

hope this helps, and send £2.99 each to get the next volume of "Cheap-Ass Indian Detailing"

that is all for now :)

nice tip that :p

more to come from my cheapness collection mate :p haha

You are a very clever man, will save me £5 a month on back to black fo sho!

:p always here to help us cheap owners haha
great stuff mate, i tried boiled linseed oil, omg did it STINK! took like 2 weeks of driving to get rid of the smell, so this stuff is awesome, just got it today, only tried a little bit like in pic :)

so come on then, whats the magic stuff for Kiwi's?

try it on paint*

*disclaimer....own risk :p hahaha

gonna be doing that from now on :> I was also thinking about just painting my skirts, splitter and rear splitter lol

na don't mate, this bottle will last you like forever, and you don't need to redo it

also a little tip i learnt, heat up the plastic with a heat gun slightly, then apply, it is meant to aid the absorption, I am yet to try this, as I don't have a heat gun :)

Arun...well me and my ex-girlfriend were experimenting and....NOT

Well like I said, a lot of the ed38 boys have been using boiled linseed oil, I tried it, it was great stuff, but my god(s) did it stink

And also I have tried the peanut butter trick, but its so fiddly, and you end up spending ages getting it out the cracks etc

So did a bit of research, seen the ground nut oil, has more oil content (obviously lol) then tried it, will work like lineseed :)
Then did a search on ed38, some guys use it in their readers rides, and says it lasts for ages, and a bottle has lasted them ages too :)
