Right, i bought a lovely Cupra Turbo on saturday and in the advert and the guy said it has a stage 1 revo map.

Now, at first i was like ye ok.

But it only boosts at about 7/8 psi? This is standard right?

The guy sid he wanted it at 7/8 psi incase of damage :wtf:

Sooooo, does boosting at 7/8 psi mean i dont have a stage 1 map or can you actually set the psi lower on a map?

Sorry if it all n00by, im new to the whole modifying turbos etc

Cheers in advanced

Thats standard boost! He's a big fibber!

You can alter the boost levels, but getting a remap, and then setting it back to standard boost, is a waste of money. Did he say what remap it had?

 lol

He did say it was a Revo Map, no recipts...thats why i was like ye ok (wasnt too sure to believe!)

Is it safe to alter boost levels without a map? How you do it?

You can adjust the actuator, although I dont remember enough about it. if you have a look on the forum, for someone in your area, who either has a Revo SPS, or a local Revo garage, they should be able to take a look and see if they can adjust the boost, to prove whether he's telling the truth or not.

Its a simple, plug and play, and if you explain to a local tuner the predicament, they may do it for free for you.
If its the case, that there is no remap, then I would contact him, and ask for some money back, as the remap was part of the reason you bought the car.

I think there may be a way to confirm this through VagCom, or Lemmiwinks, but i've been away from the forums for so long, I'm probably not your best answer.

Ahh right ok mate, Cheers for that.

Ill have a search on the forum about people in my area with a VagCom :D

The closest place that does Revo mapping is Chester, about an hour away so might arrange a visit.
