Hello

I'm still not sure what exhaust to go for my LCR. I came across Mij Exhaust Systems and was wondering if anyone has been there or got any work done from them? They build your exhaust while you wait, to your spec.

They quoted me £780 for a full system. They claim there exhausts are a better quality then Blueflame and Miltek as they use thicker piping. Not to sure.

Thanks

To be honest the quality is in the welding and by that comment it sounds like they're just trying to get your money from you. The thickness of the piping has nothing to do with it and if it's quality stainless steel like the material used by BF & Milltek, it'll never rot through anyway. Personally, I'd be warey, the only reason you need to go custom on these cars is to tune the sound of the back box, all other features can be had by BF, Pipewerx, Piper, Milltek etc with a warranty and good build quality.

I've personally opted for a Pipewerx DP & Race-Cat and will be using a custom cat-back system as a friend makes them and i'd like a less restriced (louder) rear box, otherwise I'd probably choose a non-resonated BF.

Thanks for that. I've seen alot of positive feedback for these guys but was not sure if they any good for the LCR. I called them and they guy said that they work on about 350 cars a month.

They're probably quite good but I just disagree with the piping thickness comment, go down there and have a look at a system they've made up and check the welding. You can't go much wrong with stainless steel, ask them what grade they use but the last thing that you want is an exhaust blowing at the welds, especially a downpipe.

The website looks professional though.

Ive heard of m.i.j they've done a few of my mates cars ... tbf there real helpfull and the quality is topnotch .... but its horses for courses mate if you want to be able to tune the sound you get then custom places like m.i.j and powerflow are a good bet but then again if youre not too fussed about the noise and want an easy option then blue flame and miltek are the best route :) im sure miltek will get you a good sound for around half the price quoted ( non res cat back )

I've had a 421 stainless manifold into a 2"'straight through custom system made by them on my VTS and it was A1. I've also had a turbo back 2.5"'system made on my Corsa Turbo and that was also top notch. The level of customisation available is fantastic. Everything is made to owners spec and the options they give you are great. In terms of durability and performance, all their systems come with a lifetime guarantee and I have never experienced any issues with them.
