Correct - there is a speed pulse wire in to the back of the head unit - and if you go in to the basic set up menu you can set how much louder it gets with speed.

It's only a "LOW", "MEDIUM" or "HIGH" setting but it can be changed

This is a great thread. I am trying to connect an aux cable (for my Tomtom or MP3) to a factory HU in 2004 Alhambra. As a newbie I put a new post in the Alhamra forum but thought I would put a pointer to it here in case anyone mises it there and can help. Please don't shout too loud at me for cluttering the thread...

Sorry, not allowed to post links as a newbie

Cheers

sorry to drag up an old thread but does anybody know the name of this cable. I want to do this but am unsure which cable i need to buy. The link on ebay doesn't really help anymore..

THANKS

I bought one of these - can't remember the price now - but the workaround mentioned above does not seem to work with the Alhambra radio. It seems you need some additional hardware or something, so "thrown" in the corner for now until I have time to investigate further.

Here's a link to the one I found - cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310194363390&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123 - £8.99

If anyone has any ideas...
