sorry to reviving an old thread, but does the removal of the grill apply the same way with the normal Ibiza techie? or anyone else lol.

i.e. same clips in the same places as the boc/cupra.

Here
The FR is different to the Cupra/Boc, it's pretty much no different to techie's post, so I'm guessing yours will be the same too. Only difference is mine is/was chrome rather than the black shown in techie'spost.

Yeah it was the same on my old car is it on the boc. Your best friend is a trim tool to get down the sides to unclip them :)

Char yeah sorry was tired when i wrote that lol

I bought a trim tool for halfrauds, it's not the best but it's the only place i could find one at the time! A screwdriver will be too thick to get in the gaps :)

Halfrauds? I am sure a bit of bonding solution from them should do the trick char. I mixed up my own when I did the grille on my polo back home as it came without the mesh. So i ended using the mesh off some mine truck air filters (as they are really big) and used that on both grille and bumper.

I think the boyfriends brother should have something as he's modding cars all the time! Might have to pop over at the weekend, he should defo be able to take the grill off. without breaking it i hope lol.

Thank you Jas :) by the way, where did you live with a number plate like that?

slightly stupid question here for you...im on halfords website, would some sort of super glue work just to stick the plastic mesh on?

Can you stick the mesh from behind out of sight, if so silicone sealer or a hot melt glue gun would be ideal.

Yep that looks good, put blobs around and press the grill into the sealer. It will squidge around and then leave to set. Will hold well then and should be nice and secure.

Worked on mine
