Does this exhaust change performance in any way compared to the standard FR one?
Twin centre box £330 and the twin centre diffuser is £205.00 [ which I believe will need painting?], less any trade discount you can gleen. There will be NO improved performance on the TDI best mod is twin straight thro pipes no back box, giving better turbo spool up. .................................

Thanks for this. I asked my local stealer who said it couldn't be fitted to the tdi.

Just need to book it on now with someone.

For looks I've heard it's great.

your only an hour away from us and we could pre prep the bits and fit them within a couple of hours.

Great :D , I was also looking at the spolier in black for the FL Leon and also wing mirror covers sprayed gloss black. Another member (KWEV)I think came to see you and had the same done.

I was told by my seat dealer that this could not be done but then I showed him a print out from this site with the pictures and now he will do it for me but made it clear that I will void my exhaust warranty as SEAT will not cover it as it's not designed for the fr tdi

I think they are refering to Part EU type approval [ no such thing has can't be done!!] - which held up other mods in the early days. ............................

Why some dealers have that kind of attitude baffles me, it won't invalidate your warranty as firstly, they're genuine SEAT parts and secondly, SEAT actually brought out a sleeve to enable different back boxes to be fitted to the one's they were originally designed for ie, BTCC/Aero/K1 twin or oval pipe fitted to 1.6 petrol, 1.9TDi, 2.0TDi etc etc. If a dealer gives you that kind of unhelpful response vote with your feet!

I'm quite keen to get the rear diffuser for my pre-facelift cupra, however I have a Milltek catback single pipe.

I love the sound of the R's exhaust, more so than my Milltek, so I was considering getting the full R exhaust, however I don't know how much is just down to the exhaust or if there is something else the R has over mine sound wise.

The exhaust is different on the LCR than the Cupra, but if you drive a FL Cupra, you will see the same gruff noise is present on the Cupra like it is on the Cupra R. From what I have read on a thread on here, someone fitted a pre FL engine cover on a FL Cupra, and the throaty noise was still there.

There is a special dual exit rear silencer SEAT have available as well as the standard one according to David at Seremotors. However Milltek wont have their rear silencer available until probably early 2011 at the earliest, and Blueflame seem to be very quiet at the moment.

I love the rear diffuser and twin exit myself too though :)

so if my dealer turns round and says no we cant fit it to your new FR CR, which i expect they will do soon as there ordering the rest of the kit bits on monday, what would be my best tactical response that would ultimately end in them actually fitting it for me?

Can i ask how you proved it was the tdi and not petrol and also can i ask which stealer you use? just trying to build up some evidence that i can use when they say no!

I've seen this part too (ZGB1P1071001) to cover up the paint colour around the high level brake light when using the rear facelift spolier (1P9071650D)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned
