I was told the Stage 4 APR "Dubai Engine" is around £30k

So i was told...
Yeh i know, awesome build. I would have chosen a TT-S as the base car if it was me though.

He most really love this car :) it's defo special but for that money I would go for something better... anyway big respect for poko and hope he's gonna enjoy it once it's finished :)

For 30k carnt help but feel he will be dissapointed, i know for a fact which turbo i would be using if i was to upgrade.

A hybrid k04 wouldnt be that far behind in performance and for no more than £2k and would be far better to drive day to day but thats just my opinion :D

Thats only because of labour and APR inflated prices and because hes also had to upgrade the internals whereas on the hybrid k04 as yet they have been fine ;)

Hybrid upgrade is around £800 then you need injectors, fuel pump at the fuel tank upgrade and a couple of other things inlcuding new software which is around £600 i think.

Imo its a much better option for that little bit less in performance but far more drivable from day to day.

One has to wonder why if you have 20k to spend on a car plus 30k to do it up, you don't just get something like a Audi TTRS with every gadget going and spend your few grand change on a few subtle performance upgrades for it. Ok, so it may not be as fire-breathing as this build but I know which I'd pick!

awesome build !!

and i reckon there are only 2 reasons for doing a build like this:
street cred + individuality !!

like said above, the sensible thing would be to put the £50k into something that can handle that sort of power!! but if youve got the cash, why not ??

well , the build is almost over , APR staff is on its way back to the US and we have results.

i will get pics later this week

the car is currently on with 2 different files (i driven it around 80-100 miles on both today).

the first is the race fuel file which takes the 2871R as far as it can go and left many people shocked since no one belived that this tiny turbo can make this numbers. as was shared, it makes 513WHP and it is absolutly mental to drive.
the turbo is even more avilable than on stage 3 cars and massive power starts just after 3000rpm and goes all the way to the redline.

the other file is the 98ron file which i have asked to make very tame and safe in relation. we don't use any addetives such as methanol and timing are not advanced to the max to allow for east adaption to weather and condition changes. also the turbo never goes above 80% duty cycle so a long life for the engine and turbo are expected with this file. this file puts out 402whp

overall , i just drove the car around 100 miles, and i need some time to get used to it. it is absolutly mental , you just press the pedal at 3000 rpm and the car next to you suddenly is half a mile back.

Just found this thread...
:-o Woaa!
Sounds awesome!
You have some serious money their!

no exact estimations.

I think that on race fuel i will be a little over 500 and on 98 a little under
we will decide in the tuning phase since i am willing to sacrifice peak power for a linear graph

and dont forget i am running 2871 so boost should be from around 3400 rpm which is really low compared to what other bt Setup do.

So you were pretty spot on with your estimations! Awesome! [B)]

well ,actually i expected around 500 crank with race fuel.
i ended up getting over 560 crank , and that's a lot of difference :)

now i am looking for axles, cause mine are not going to be intact much longer on this file.
